Why did Anthropic refuse to release Claude Mythos to the public?
Because it took one look at the internet and said,
"Nice software you've got there... be a shame if someone found all 27-year-old bugs in it before lunch."
Then it casually handed the good guys a $100 million security upgrade while whispering to the bad guys:
"Sorry kids, this one's invite-only. Go touch grass instead."
